Nai Thon Beach
With its soft sand and turquoise waters, it is a mystery why Nai Thon Beach has not attracted resort developers. Then again, this has turned out be a good thing since the beach offers a place for visitors to get away from all the hustle and bustle and enjoy some peace of mind.
While Nai Thon Beach is a little bit harder to find than other more popular beaches in Phuket, going there is an amazing experience in itself, since you will be treated to old villages and a sweeping valley along the road. On foot, you will have to go through a jungle, which is one of the last patches of nature on the island virtually untouched by man, and follow a winding road that treats you to spectacular views of the ocean.
Nai Thon Beach Activities
Swimming and sunbathing are the main activities here. Swimming though, is not recommended from May to October when the waves have a tendency to rage, a complete turnaround from its flat surface the rest of the year.
Nai Thon Beach Facilities
There are no sunbeds or parasols for rent here so you will have to settle on bringing your own beach umbrella and a large towel to lie down on.
Nai Thon Beach Restaurants
During the high season, a few restaurants open up on the beach to cater to beachgoers. During the low season, though, there are only a few restaurants to choose from a short distance from the beach, serving Thai and western food.
