Banana Rock Beach
Banana Rock Beach is one of Phuket’s best-kept secrets. It is relatively small at just about 180 meters, and also hard to find, but once you do, you will surely feel as if you’ve hit the jackpot since you will be treated to stunning views of turquoise waters gently lapping on a stretch of pristine white sand.
To get to the Banana Rock Beach, drive past the luxurious Trisara Phuket resort and look at the left hand side for a sign that says ‘Banana Beach’ which is another name for Banana Rock Beach. After parking here, under some trees, just walk down a shady path and you will find yourself at the beach. You can also park at the parking space for Nai Thon Beach then just walk down a narrow trail past some bamboo forests, down a hill and across a small river.
Banana Rock Beach Activities
There is not much to do here except for sunbathing and swimming, which is recommended only from November to May. During the rest of the year, the waves can become very large, almost as tall as the trees, so it’s best to stay out of the water.
Banana Rock Beach Facilities
Sunbeds and parasols can be rented out here, though there are not as many as those found on other beaches. There are no public toilets, either, but the restaurant has its own that you can use.
Banana Rock Beach Restaurants
There is only one restaurant here – an open-air seafood restaurant owned by Khun Jan. The prices are rather steep but worth getting your fill of the fresh catch of the day prepared with the choicest ingredients while enjoying the views under the shade of the trees.
