Panwa Beach

Panwa Beach

On The Beach Of Cape Panwa
If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, then Panwa Beach, also known as Khao Khat, is right up your alley since it is a rather secluded beach backed by a row of luxury villas with humble fisherman’s huts in between. While the sand here is quite coarse, it is a beautiful shade of white and the waters are a pale turquoise, providing breathtaking scenery.

Panwa Beach Activities

Apart from taking a stroll on this compact, beautiful beach, renting a longtail boat to explore the environs and perhaps laying a beach towel down on the sand to bathe in the sun, there is nothing else to do here. Though the waters are clear and calm, they are not really fit for swimming since they are shallow and the ocean floor is rocky.

Panwa Beach Facilities

The handful of sun loungers and parasols here are for exclusive use of the beach resort, which is why you’ll have to bring your own beach towel to lie down on.

Panwa Beach Restaurants

There is a bar right on the beach serving snacks and drinks and a few small, open air restaurants . If you’re looking for fine dining, you can go to the resort and eat there.

Panwa Beach Attractions – Things To See Around Panwa Beach

Phuket Aquarium

There is one other attraction in this area apart from the beach and that is the Phuket Aquarium, which may well be the finest aquarium in Phuket. There are about thirty tanks filled with both saltwater and freshwater fishes, with the largest one having a tunnel built through it so you can see sharks and rays swimming around and above you.

There is a marine endangered species museum located right next to the aquarium, which is also a part of the Phuket Marine Biological Center.
