Layan Beach

Tucked in the northern end of Bang Tao Bay, Layan is Phuket’s best-kept secret. In fact, many people, even locals, don’t even know it exists. It is hard to find, as well, but once you do, you will be rewarded by the stunning sight of white sands meeting with turquoise waters – a postcard-perfect image. The southern part of the beach, in particular, is very beautiful while the northern end has a sandbar and a small picturesque lagoon, which is the perfect spot for a stroll.

Beach Activities

The waters here are good enough for swimming most of the year, though that is about the only other activity besides sunbathing.

There are a few sun loungers and parasols available for rent here. There are no public toilets, but you can use the ones at the restaurant.

There is a small restaurant right on the beach serving excellent Thai food and seafood, though at steep prices, which is understandable considering the lack of competition and the views afforded.
