Ao Sane Beach – On The Beach Of Ao Sane

Unlike most of the beaches on the island of Phuket which have soft, sandy beaches, the beach of Ao Sane is quite rocky, which is probably why it is also one of the most deserted beaches. For those looking for tranquility, then, or those simply wanting to avoid the crowds, Ao Sane Beach is an ideal destination.

Ao Sane Beach Activities

The waters around Ao Sane are placid enough for swimming as long as the weather is good. They are also rich in beautiful underwater landscapes that provide sanctuaries to schools of small fishes, which is why diving and snorkelling are also popular here. You’ll have to bring your own gear, though, or rent from the other beaches, since you won’t find any to rent here.

Apart from those, the only option left is to bathe in the sun or to relax with a good book under the shade of the trees that line the back of the beach while enjoying the scenery.

Ao Sane Facilities

There are no sunbeds or parasols for rent on Ao Sane Beach so you’ll have to bring your own beach towel to lie down on – you’ll have to find a spot free of rocks first, though. A shower facility adjoining public toilets are located beside the restaurant.

Ao Sane Beach Restaurants

There is one lone, informal restaurant on Ao Sane Beach which serves hearty meals at cheap prices. If you’re looking for more options, you’ll have to walk to the neighboring Nai Harn Beach.
